VIALET joins Visuotinė Gynyba, Lithuania’s Total Defence Initiative

VIALET has joined Unicorns Lithuania in supporting Visuotinė gynyba, or Total Defence, an association building a Total Defence model for Lithuania. Founded by Unicorns Lithuania and Stiprūs kartu, and led by Tomas Godliauskas, former National Security Advisor to the President of Lithuania, the association is working toward three targets by 2030: 70 percent of residents knowing their role in a crisis, half of residents holding a personal 72-hour plan, and half of companies prepared for their part.

 

The model itself comes from the New Generation Warfare Center, reviewed by former defense commanders from Finland, NATO, the United States, and South Korea, drawing on practices from Finland, Israel, Ukraine, and Sweden. The final version for Lithuania is due in October.
