Build the future of FinTech at VIALET
At VIALET, we’re not just another electronic money institution. We’re building a specialized financial platform for target industries, providing a comprehensive suite of solutions that empower businesses to thrive. We’re ranked among the top EMIs in Lithuania in client funds, turnover, and revenue.
As we scale, we are moving into a pivotal phase: owning our most critical systems. We are seeking a passionate Engineering Manager to lead the team responsible for the “heart” of VIALET and migration efforts from external SaaS vendor.
In this role, you will foster a culture of innovation while driving the delivery of the systems that handle our ledgers, payments, and accounts. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and technical execution.
Why VIALET?
Impact: Directly lead the team building the internally-owned foundation of our entire product suite.
Ownership: Take end-to-end responsibility for engineering processes, delivery, and the technical health your domain.
Growth: Be part of a rapidly expanding company where your leadership is crucial to our regional and industrial expansion.
Culture: Work in a flat hierarchy where decisions are made quickly and your voice is heard directly by leadership.
What you’ll do
Lead and Mentor: Manage a dedicated team of engineers, providing the guidance and support necessary for high performance and professional growth.
Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the CTO and Product Managers to define roadmaps and contribute to “build vs. buy” discussions regarding core financial components.
Technical Excellence: Champion best practices including code reviews, CI/CD, and automated testing to ensure the reliability of our most critical systems.
Process Optimization: Implement and refine Agile/Scrum methodologies to promote efficiency and continuous improvement within the team.
Team Building: Participate in recruiting and scaling the engineering team.
What you’ll bring
Experience: 5+ years in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a management or technical leadership role.
Leadership: A proven track record of fostering collaboration and mentoring engineers to reach their full potential.
Methodology: Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and modern software development lifecycles.
Tech Stack Knowledge: Familiarity with modern cloud-native environments (AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and version control.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex technical decisions to stakeholders.
Domain Knowledge (Bonus): Prior experience with financial systems (ledgers, payments, transactions) or the FinTech industry is a significant plus, but not a requirement.
Our Tech Stack
At VIALET, we leverage a modern tech stack to power our platform. You’ll be working with technologies like Node.js and TypeScript. We also utilize AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, and CDK, along with Redis and more. If you’re passionate about building scalable and reliable systems with cutting-edge tools, you’ll fit right in!
What we offer
Competitive Compensation: 7000-9000 euros gross, based on your experience and knowledge, with room for negotiation.
Professional Development: Up to 1000 EUR annual reimbursement for training and courses.
Work-Life Balance: Flexible hours and hybrid/remote work options (after the probation period).
Health & Wellness: Comprehensive health insurance (after 3 months) and a gym membership.
Inspiring Workspace: Modern office on the top floor of Vilnius’ highest building with stunning views and reserved parking.
Vibrant Culture: Regular city-wide gatherings, bi-annual company adventures, and a flat, collaborative hierarchy.
